This Sunday is a wonderful celebration that begins at 7:00 a.m. for the early risers, with an Easter Sunrise Service at Court House Park where we celebrate with other downtown churches. An ecumenical service of approximately a half hour, it is followed by breakfast at one of the five sponsoring churches before we all head off to our own churches. With the Salvation Army band offering music leadership, it is a service that brings us together to celebrate resurrection and new life. At George Street United, our Easter Sunday service is at 10:00 a.m. with special music and a great sense of joy in the worship service. It is truly a celebration and one of the highlights of the worship year as we sing our Hallelujahs and rejoice together.
