At present, our choir is made up of 25 enthusiastic members in the usual SATB (soprano-alto-tenor-bass) manner. We rehearse every Thursday night during the fall, winter and spring, and sing throughout the entire year. Our repertoire consists of the latest contemporary Christian music, as well as the traditional anthems of the past. We have several exceptional soloists whose talents are greatly appreciated. From time to time, guest artists perform with our choir, adding a further dynamic to our worship.
Lunchtime Music in Advent and Lent

These mini-concerts were started in 2000 with organists from neighboring
churches coming to George Street each Thursday in Advent from 12:15 - 12:45.
The repertoire is in the “hands” of the visiting soloists. The admission
charge requested is foodstuff or financial donations which are forwarded to
a local food bank. In Lent, the series moves to various churches in our city
so we can hear the other fine organs in Peterborough.
The Candlelight Carol Service
The culmination of our choral year lies with our Candlelight Carol
Service – a tradition since the 1950s. A week or two before Christmas,
the church lights are dimmed and the windows glimmer with real candles.
This service is now designed in a "Lessons and Carol" format, where
various readings, not all Biblical, are presented and carols and anthems
are chosen to reflect the words. It is a moving experience.
