Under the wise and thoughtful leadership of Richard Batten plus the encouragement of our ministers Karen and Julie, this group since its inception in
2004
has become an important cog in the wheel of adult re-education of our
Christian Faith understanding. Through well attended Sunday noon brown
bag lunch book studies and/or presentations by leading local and outside
theologians this small group has created quite a stir. It's been an
opportunity to think about and discuss our Faith experiences in a civil
and loving way, and it seems to be a recipe worth offering on a regular
basis. Watch Upcoming Events on our Home page for future dates.
Lenten Studies Group
This group sets itself a specific theological task every year during the
six Sundays of Lent. Exploring the deeper meaning of a faith that must
be relevant to the world today is the goal; reading, debating and
discussing are the means to achieve this goal. Watch for the topic
leading into Lent 2008.
Bible Studies
The group meets fall and spring and follows the United Church
lectionary. Led by the Reverend Jessica Beecham-Stockton, the fall
series runs from October 21 to November 25, beginning at 11:15 following
worship services. Please bring your brown-bag lunch to the meeting.
