When one of our community partners decided to invite Stephen Lewis to town, George Street was quick to offer our church as the venue. In October 2006, this modern-day warrior for justice spoke to a packed house on "The Politics of Compassion" as he described in brutal detail the need to battle AIDS in Africa. The Peterborough Coalition Against AIDS was our community partner in this powerful event.
