About Us

Nearing the end of our first-ever five-year strategic plan, we believe we've become a better church community: more open, more welcoming, but more challenging and interesting too. Now we are embarking on the next stage of our journey. We want to act on what we've learned: to nurture a thinking faith that speaks to today's world, with its many needs and blessings. We may be far from our goals at times, but we strive to walk, learn and grow with people beyond the four walls of our building, not just locally but globally as well. Jesus Christ was incredibly relevant to his time and place; we want to be just as relevant here, today.

Quotes

"It is not by pure accident that so many different people feel "at home" at George Street. Our outstanding ministers work hard to create an accepting and friendly atmosphere, but the congregation itself also makes this a reality. All of us collectively are ministers; we each have a joyful responsibility, in no matter how small a way."
